Brendan Locke
Brendan has been part of the sarcoma community since 2016 when his late wife was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma. As a caregiver, he sought the best possible care for her and ways to find purpose in an otherwise difficult part of life. First and foremost, Brendan is a dad of two boys, husband of Melissa and now Brenda (he has remarried) and passionate advocate for those who came before Melissa and will after.
Brendan is always about making things better than he found them. He has been part of Public Policy since 2018 and pushed July being recognized as Sarcoma Awareness Month through the United States Senate Approval. House Resolution 319 was the foundation for a renewed movement of advocacy and awareness for Sarcoma.
Brendan’s connection to Sarcoma Foundation of America is deeply personal as both an advocate and caregiver. Through his experiences, Brendan has seen firsthand the challenges that sarcoma patients and their families face. He is committed to helping raise awareness, provide support, and advocate for those affected by this rare and often misunderstood disease. Being involved with the Sarcoma Foundation of America gives Brendan an opportunity to turn his experiences into meaningful action, support the sarcoma community, and help advance the mission of improving the lives of patients and families impacted by sarcoma.
