Colleen Forbes, RN, BSN, OC
Colleen Forbes is an Orthopedic Certified Registered Nurse who began her career at Duke University Hospital in 2013. She joined the Orthopedic Oncology Team in 2020 and has since served as Nurse Navigator, providing specialized care coordination, education, and support for patients throughout their sarcoma journey. She is dedicated to improving access to care, strengthening multidisciplinary communication, and ensuring patients and families feel informed and supported every step of the way. By getting to know her patients on a personal level, she is able to provide individualized care and ensure no one feels like a diagnosis, an appointment, a surgery, or an image finding. Over the years, she has been actively involved in creating, planning and implementing sarcoma awareness events, including golf tournaments, walk/runs, and patient appreciation tables, helping foster connection, support, and advocacy within the sarcoma community.
